According to a user post on the Creative Labs forum who spotted an entry on the Windows Vista Hardware Compatibility list, Creative is planning to release a successor for the X-Fi sound card. Though, it can’t be proven as the entry is gone from the Microsoft site already.

The downfall of Creative Labs

Create Labs logo. It seems this week is not going to be a good one for Creative Labs. After a forum moderator has indirectly admitted that Creative Labs’ soundcard drivers are crippled on the Windows Vista operating system, thousands of people have decided to boycott Creative Labs products, including online shops.

Good news: The end of DRM is in sight

A man holding a poster which is saying: Eliminate DRM.Three of the worlds major music labels decided against DRM: EMI, Universal and Sony, while Wal-Mart plans to stop selling DRM protected songs in their online store.

I don’t know what was up with this hype of DRM, but I’m glad that it’s over soon.
